I do. I do, too.
Uncle Patrick and Aunt Denise, doin' the heavy lookin' on........
There. That's done. Now??? Babies!!!
Grandparents with bride.
Good Morning, Family and Friends wherever you are,
What a gorgeous day it was! Sun was shining, very slight breeze to cool things off, and the wedding was a go. I got to stay in the truck because there were too many people but Daddy found a nice spot under a tree so I was shaded, and it was cool with a nice breeze, so I was perfectly comfortable. Mommy had bought me a new bone so I had plenty to do....chew, gnaw, snooze, and so on. Daddy came and took me out for a wee wee and a walk halfway through the shindig, so I was fine.
So, the wedding. I got the scoop from Mommy, so this is what happened. The site was a really pretty park on a river. There was a big white house where Aunt Sheila got all gussied up in her wedding dress.....and her attendants did the same, 'cept they didn't wear wedding dresses like Aunt Sheila's....that would have looked silly...they wore black dresses with pink highlights....and then Uncle Glen......I can call him that now that he's married to one of my own......came down the aisle, followed by all the attendants and then Aunt Sheila on Uncle Patrick's arm. He was all gussied up in a tuxedo with a pink tie, lookin' some proud....if not a bit weepy. Mommy and Daddy and all of the guests stood up to see the bride, and when the ceremony started, everyone sat down.....to watch.....except for Uncle Patrick and Auntie Denise....they kept standing, and hugging each other, and wiping their eyes, and hugging, and it was so cute. Their little girl was being married, and they wanted to see every part of it. No one told them to sit down, because it was so moving......
After the ceremony, there were pictures, pictures, and more pictures. Mommy kept telling the little girl who was doing the taking of the pictures to be sure to watch her angles....and not get the extra chins so many of them were wearing......she thought that was funny, but she tried her best. Don't know how well they turned out, but, at least she tried. And then the reception. Mommy said the food was fabulous....Uncle Patrick did most of the cooking.....roasted pig, chicken, grits with shrimp, red rice, cole slaw, potato salad, rolls, green beans, and more. Mommy and Daddy sat with Uncle Patrick's friends Chris and Beth and had a nice time. There were members of this blended family there and everyone got along very well. Aunt Denise's mom AND stepmom were there, Uncle Patrick's mom, step dad AND father....my daddy....were there, along with his brother David, Jr. Mommy got to meet him for the first time and he is a very nice man......really tall like Uncle Patrick and Daddy. I hope I get to meet him some day.
So after dinner, the music started and the bride and groom had their first dance, then Uncle Patrick danced with the bride, and then some others danced. Mommy's eye was starting to bother her, so she and Daddy didn't stay 'til the end......they had to come back to the camper and rest. But it was a beautiful wedding, and everyone had a good time, and that's what counts.
And another day begins....very cool this morning, but the sky is clear and it should be gorgeous. I don't know what we're doing, but it'll be fun, for sure. Hope you have a great day! I love you all!
Juni
