Tennessee and 84 degrees

Napping in the truck..
Rest area in TN
Waiting for my after dinner cookie.

Good Evening, Family and Friends, wherever you are,

I am hot. I may have to ask for a haircut. Daddy HATES when Mommy cuts my hair, but it really does help. I have such long feathers on my legs.....well, not like bird feathers, but long hair that looks like feathers. And sometimes I get matted hair there, so then Mommy really has to cut out a big chunk which makes me look foolish, so if she just cuts those feathers off, it feels better and looks better. Then we can let them grow back in the winter.

I'm sorry I wasn't able to get onto my blog last night, but we were in a really nice campground with Yogi Bear, and they had recently had a windstorm that took down lots of trees and the wifi tower, so we couldn't get onto the internet. So now you have to read a whole long story of the past two days.

OK, well, it was really foggy in Vermont when we left so we had to go kinda slow until it lifted. The roads were good, but I'll tell ya, once we got into NY and then PA, there was all this liter! Thank God Vermonters don't liter like that. It's really ugly and I'd be ashamed if I was those two states. It really looks crappy.

We stopped at a truck stop to get fuel....Mommy can't say 'gas' because it's not 'gas'....it's diesel fuel......she forgets sometimes and gets the evil eye. Anyhow, she and I got out while Daddy filled the tank with ......fuel.......and went to find a place to wee wee. Ohmygod.....it had rained recently and there were puddles all over the place and we had to go around all these big trucks that scare me and I ran really fast to where I saw grass and took Mommy through a gigantic mud puddle and she got all muddy on her shoes and pants, and I got all muddy on my just washed paws and feathers and tummy and she was mad. She called me some pretty mean, hurtful names like...dufus....and dumb dog and shitforbrains......so ya know what I did? I led her alllllllll over that grassy bank, sniffin' and lookin' and sniffin' and lookin' for just the right spot to wee wee. She got some workout, she did. The best part was......get this......I didn't even HAVE to wee wee! I just squatted and turned back to look at her and stood up quickly so she'd know I was faking and off I went.....sniffin' and lookin' and sniffin'......until she made me go back to the truck. That was some fun, let me tell you. I got her! She's not as smart as she thinks she is! Ha.

Ok, so on we went. The forsythia is in bloom everywhere, and the further south we go, the more the trees are leafing out. It's really pretty, all these shades of green. And then there are the purple bushes/trees. I don't know what they are, but they're all over the place and really make the drive enjoyable. We stopped at a really nice campground in MD. It was a Yogi Bear Campground and there weren't very many people there so it was really quiet. It rained all night but we didn't mind. And it rained a lot on the way today.....

The campground we're in tonight is right off an interstate and it's noisy and very crowded. But it's a place to rest our weary heads........

On the way here we heard on the CB radio that there had been a huge accident several exits from where we were, so we got off Route 81 and followed the big trucks around the accident and got back on again. That CB is a great thing to have.

Well, that's it for tonight. We'll be at Uncle Peter's sometime tomorrow. We're not hurrying, really. Did five hundred miles both days....won't have to do anything near that tomorrow 'cause we're just south of Knoxville.

Talk to you tomorrow. I love you all.

Juni
