Resting the eyeball...etc....
Good Evening, Family and Friends, wherever you are,
Hope you’ve had a perfectly wonderful day. Our day has been very quiet and……quiet. Mommy got up very early this morning and had her coffee while she read a book. She has to read big print books for awhile, until her eye gets back to normal, but she got a good one and read it all day, off and on. She has to rest her eyes for short periods because they get tired, but she did and I rested with her. Daddy read a lot, too and we all just……rested. We had hoped to see Uncle Matthew sometime today….he said he would come see us, but something must have prevented him from doing so. He goes to college in Athens, GA and it’s two hours away. We’re a little disappointed, but you know, if it’s the worst that happens on this trip, we’ll consider ourselves lucky. It’s just that Daddy had swapped his old saxophone for a brandie new ukulele for Matthew, something we knew he wanted. He is very musical and can learn to play anything all by himself. So Daddy wanted to give him this uke and see his reaction. I guess Uncle Peter will just have to tell us how he liked it.
It’s really hot here in Georgia, except in the mornings and evenings. We’re all sitting outside now…..Mommy said she was going to get my brush and give me a good grooming. I need to look my best when the Rand family comes home. Talk to you tomorrow. I love you all. Juni
